Dignity Therapy training
I just finished the formal training for Dignity Therapy with Dr Brenda Bentley at Murdoch University. From the course material here is the description, “Dignity Therapy is a life review psychotherapy where people document important memories and leave messages for their loved ones. It focuses on creating a legacy document to alleviate end-of-life distress.” Dr Bentley presented the course in an academic and practical manner, and I really enjoyed the practical sessions.
The author of Dignity Therapy the text is H.M. Chochinov.
Next year the course will be held from 28-30 November at the university. To read more please visit www.dignitytherapy.com. I commend this course to family members, volunteers, and health professionals.
