New Secular Ritual for Funerals – Personalisation?

Sixty percent of all Australian funerals are performed by a funeral celebrant.  Australian community may be highly secularised, but that does not mean people aren’t spiritual.  Maybe as a community we need to re-define what we mean by spirituality.  The baby booming generation have changed how funerals look, and they keep evolving with a highly personalised feel to the ceremonies.  This interesting article supports the personalisation movement.  Whether it is decorated coffins, or having your loved one’s ashes inked into your tatoo, are we re-defining how we wish to have meaningful ritual?
